Microemulsions are thermodynamically stable mixtures of oil, water, surfactant; these have been shown to be ideal microreactors for preparing micro and nanoparticles used for medical preparation, semiconductors, catalytic processes, coatings and others. Copper sulfate microparticles were prepared at room temperature by precipitation in sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate isooctane water system. The influence of the concentration of copper sulfate aqueous solution, water surfactant molar ratio (w_0= [H_2O]/[AOT]) and the pH of the salt on the size of microparticles was investigated. The average diameters of the particles and their shapes was analyzed by means of optical microscopy, absorption speclroscopy and turbidity measurements. The six of the copper sulfate microparticle grows with the increase of the concentrations of the copper sulfate aqueous solution and also with the water surfactant molar ratio. It decreases with increase of the pH values of the salt.
