摘要

The paper reports measurements of refractive indices and densities for five binary systems: 2-butanone+ 1-chloropentane, + 1.3-dichloropropane, + 1,4-dichlorobutane,+1,1,1-trichloroethane, + 1,1,2.2-tetrachloroethane at 298.15 K, over the entire mole fraction range. The aim of this work is: (a) to examine the ability of different mixing rules (Lorentz-Lorentz. Gladstone-Dale. Arago-Biot, Edwards) to predict the refractive indices of the studied systems where significant changes of refractivity and volume are present, as a result of physical and/or chemical interactions and (b), to evidence these interactions by the excess molar volumes, V~E, and the excess molar refraction.
