The parameters of some cubic equations of state in the n-alkanes series

The paper discusses the quality of VLE calculations in mono-component systems of n-alkanes up to hexacontane. Three equation of state are comparatively investigated: GEOS3C, Peng Robinson and Soave and there are presented some causes that may be responsible for the different results obtained in the investigation of long chain alkanes. The new correlations for the constants involved in the temperature function of GEOS3C parameter proved to lead to good results.
