The Synthesis of Calcium Salts from Myttilus Galloprovincialis Shells

The synthesis of calcium salts from the mussel shells for pharmaceutical use by different acid attacks were performed. First, the Black Sea mussel shells were treated with alkaline solution of KOH 1% for the removing of organic component. The mineral part resulted was submitted to the acid attacks. The salts obtained were purified and analysed according to the Romanian and American Pharmacopeia.
