摘要

Structured packing are used in separation and reactive separation columns and represents an efficient way for phase contacting due to its high performances.. In this paper a physical and mathematical model for liquid flow on corrugated metal sheets is presented. In the study an important role is given to the surface tension. An experimental devices was built for the verifying of physical model. The experimental measurements are in good agreement with the calculated values for liquid mean flow velocity.
