In order to expand the field of diode lasers in laser processing applications, various sizes of the laser spot was designed to make the diode lasers require different applications, using ZEMAX to simulate the diode laser optical path, including the beam shaping, collimation, focus, etc.. Through experiments, 980nm wavelength laser stack arrays, including 16 bar, after beam shaping and collimation, focusing, and ultimately the power of 1031W was obtained, focused spot size of 1. 2 mm * 1. 5 mm, laser power density of 3. 8× 104 W/cm2 , which can be used for metal surface remelting, alloying, cladding and thermal conductivity-type welding.
