INTEGRATED NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT IN SUGARCANE

摘要

Experiments conducted at the Zonal Agricultural Research Station, V.C. Farm, Mandya, for three years from 2002-03 to 2004-05 have revealed that application of nutrients to sugarcane crop through fertilizers alone will not be beneficial for obtaining higher cane yields but integration of organic and inorganic sources in right blend is the key. In addition, the quality parameters were also influenced by the blend of different sources. The practice of integration helps in maintaining soil fertility and health for sustained sugarcane production.
