SUMMARY OF GOMOS VALIDATIONS PRESENTED AT ACVE-2 ANDRECOMMENDATIONS

During the week from 4 to 7 May 2004 wasrnheld in Frascati at ESRIN the ACVE-2rnworkshop about the validation of chemistryrninstruments, namely GOMOS, MIPAS andrnSCHIAMACHY. Here we summarize thernappreciation of the GOMOS team on the workrnthat was reported by the various validationrngroups concerning the validation of GOMOSrnmeasurements, with some additionalrncomments. We will examine the most salientrnfeatures of the validations sorted by productrn(vertical profiles of species O_3, NO_2 , NO_3,rnaerosols, O_2, H_2O, High ResolutionrnTemperature profile and Air and Temperaturernprofile).
