Corporate Distress Dianosis-An International Comparison

Diagnosing corporate is a classification problem. While using statistical methods like multivatiate discriminant analysis is still state-of-the-art in practice, over the last few years a number of studies have investigated the application of artifiical neural networks for this task. Some of our previous studies had analyzed French financiaol statements. This article will revise the early results using multiple network systems based on the multilayer perceptron. Furthermore the examination will be extended to US corporations for an international comparison.
