关于中国转基因食品发展的分析和思考

         

摘要

Genetically modified foods are crops and plants that have been created for human or animal consumption using the latest molecular biology techniques. A major controversy about CM foods is involved in three categories: environmental hazards, human health risks, and economic concerns. Taking into account that the genetic engineering strategies might help to overcome the food crisis, reduce environmental pollution, increase farmers' income, offer more nutritional value and better flavor and alleviate global climate change, China should make a great effort to develop genetically modified food but accept one of the premises: ensure that the safe of the genetically modified foods and the consumers' self-selection.%作为一种利用新技术生产的食品,国内外对转基因食品安全性的争论从来就没有停息过.研究发现,转基因技术是有助于解决粮食危机、降低环境污染、增加农民收入、改善食品结构和功能、缓解全球气候变化的一个重要发展方向.中国应在确保安全和消费者自主选择的前提下,积极开发转基因食品.
