New acoustic test facility for building materials

Acoustic testing of low carbon construction materials is one of the services available at a new £1 million facility at the University of Bath's Building Research Park, Swindon. The HIVE, the first facility of its kind in the UK, was officially opened by the University's Chancellor, the Earl of Wessex. The HIVE offers a "plug and play" facility and expertise to test and evaluate materials and systems in a ready-built open air environment, speeding time to market for innovative materials.
