If the goal of investors in Asian is to make money, not war, then maybe buyers should consider joining the Circus. An award-winning fund managed by Circus Capital offers Asian investors the chance to take advantage of the recent ramping-up of Western military defense budgets without being accused of war-mongering. "You tend to get your biggest technological leaps forward at times of war, because spending is high," says Paul Robinson, Hong Kong-based director of Circus, whose military technology-exposed Circus Capital Technology-Fund 1 (CCT) recently won a performance award from Benchmark for its 42.5% return in 2001 net of fees, including a 15% performance fee.
