摘要

Hong Kong―When Paul Crosio started his new job in January, there was more waiting for him than a cherry-wood desk in a silk-trimmed office with views of Victoria Harbor. His new company was at war with its U.S. parent company; its financial future was on the ropes; and its former chief executive faced accusations of sexual discrimination against senior staff. But it wasn't as if Mr. Crosio's new employers had kept him in the dark. Mr. Crosio knew exactly what he was walking into. The 43-year-old father of four had taken on a job many career-conscious executives wouldn't have touched. He had turned down two lucrative job offers with major companies in favor of a position as director of human resources for one of the most embattled companies in the region: Asia Global Crossing.
