Most LiPos are grouped cells that have been wired together to achieve a particular voltage or capacity. Most of our backyard flyers use 1-, 2-, or 3-cell packs. One LiPo cell will produce about 3.7 volts under load. Cells are manufactured to have a variety of capacities that range from 300mAh to well over 5000mAh. A pack's capacity is stated in milliamp hours (mAh), and it refers to the amount of available usable energy. The higher a pack's capacity, the longer a motor can run. Battery voltage, on the other hand, can improve the performance of your motor. Battery capacity and voltage are determined by how the cells are joined to form packs.
