Before your first flight, your lust chock should be of your model's center of gravity (CG). This check comes last, but it is one of the most important. Its CG affects a plane's stability. A forward location increases stabilily while reducing maneuverability; a rearward CG has the opposite effect. If the CG is too far back, the plane will be unstable and impossible for even the best pilots to control. For most planes, the CG is at 25 to 33 percent behind the wing's leading edge. Beginners should sot the CG toward the front of tho acceptable range to increase stability. As your experience increases, you'll develop your own preference with regard to CG location.
