The new five-storey commercial building and four-storey residential building that comprise the Notting Dale Campus are part of a wider redevelopment of the local area by Adena Property Investments to create a localised creative hub, to complement The Yellow Building and White Building.The site was formerly occupied by low-rise commercial properties, demolished to make way for the new buildings. A Thames Water relief sewer also diagonally crosses the site below ground, which has required the piled foundations and substructure of the buildings to span over the sewer and clearance zone.The commercial building, now known as The George Building, offers 56,000ft~2 (5200m~2) of flexible, BREEAM 'Excellent' Class A space and several self-contained ground-floor offices, food and beverage and retail units. A single-storey basement accessed by vehicle ramp provides car parking and cycle storage.
