Geoff Rose of J Murphy & Sons outlines the challenges and the value-engineered solutions that achieved carbon savings of 52,500 tonnes CO_2e on a major project to the east of London. Working at the prestigious DP World London Gateway site at Stanford-le-Hope in Essex, Murphy completed a trio of critical infrastructure projects in autumn 2013, which contributed to the port becoming operational.
