The Stadium, Highbury Square development is the final piece in the Arsenal FC Highbury redevelopment masterplan for construction of the new Emirates Stadium, which included building a new waste transfer station so that the existing site could be used for the new stadium.rnConstruction of key worker accommodation, a new museum and offices on the new stadium site were other key factors to allow the existing Highbury Stadium to be redeveloped into a new leisure, retail and residential area - an important element in the regeneration of the local community. Byrne Bros (BBF) was appointed by Sir Robert McAlpine (SRM) as the concrete package contractor on all of these components of the masterplan and the success of the overall development is due, in no small measure, to excellent working relations between SRM, BBF and Buro Happold - the civil/structural engineer.
