Concrete keeps the Legoland rollercoaster rolling

Mott MacDonald was commissioned by Legoland Windsor Park Ltd in September 2003 to undertake detailed design of the foundation substructure and superstructure for a new rollercoaster in its theme park, located in the heart of Berkshire. The construction programme was extremely tight and the project was scheduled for completion by the end of March 2004 in readiness for the new 2004 season. The successful delivery of the project was only achieved through a flexible and adaptable design process relying on close consultation and cooperation between the client, Mott MacDonald (the designers), MACK (the ride manufacturer) and Brymor Contractors Ltd (the principal contractor).
