Plaintree's solution to the Gigabit Ethernet Challenge includes a highly flexible arrangement of 33 workgroup switches (WaveSwitch 9032 and 9025) in 10 clusters, connected to a highly resilient backbone switch (WaveSwitch 9200). The total cost of ownership is low; capital investment is less than $300,000 including redundancy and Router Acceleration. Building South does not require cabling changes, and integrated cable management with the workgroup switches saves additional costs. NextWave features ensure ongoing network performance with minimal network management. Adds, moves and changes are easy; they require no software or configuration changes at workstations. The network infrastucture is powerful and simple.
