E-mail. In the past five years, it's become the way businesses exchange information. Data Communications and its parent company, CMP Media Inc., are no exceptions. Since our offices are distributed not only around the U.S. but also around the world, e-mail is the most efficient way for us to stay in touch— and to touch base with our readers. Indeed, I'm frequently shocked to find just how much of my day is spent conversing with staff, readers, management, and other CMP departments—all without uttering a word.
