Branch-Office workers who've made do with bare-bones phone functions don't have to any longer. MCK Communications Inc. (Newton, Mass.) says it has a way to bring the advanced voice features found at corporate HQ to remote sites—and introduce some savings as well. Its Branch Office Extender 6000 phone adapter links branch offices to the central-site PBX through the corporate data network. Users appear as local extensions on the main PBX and can make and take calls accordingly—with advanced PBX features like four-digit dialing, voice mail, and operator services.
