(Cambridge, Mass.). In other words, the protocol that's taken over networking has also ushered in the age of e-commerce—and changed forever the way companies do business. Which means net architects should check out some other numbers—Data Comm's top 25 ISPs. In our second annual look at the Internet service providers that service the most popular Web sites, we identified those that corporate customers can count on in this new era of networking. We even broke out the results by industry (news and entertainment, adult content, and so forth) to show who's handling what. And we assessed the trends and gathered performance stats that can help net managers fine-tune the selection process.
