Air Transport Sector Makeover

A once-in-a-generation, top-to-bottom transformation is occurring in the air transport sector. Production of the venerable Boeing C-17 has ended. The Airbus A400M programme is righting itself to become a major strategic airlift platform of choice. Developments in the tactical air transport space include upgrades and enhancements to the Lockheed Martin C-130J and Finmeccanica Aircraft Division's C-27J -while the new Embraer KC-390 is securing early orders prior to initial delivery. Further, the combat-tested Bell Boeing V-22 has entered the international market.
