Response to Chin et al.

To the Editor: I agree with Chin et al. (1) that in portal hypertension measurement of spleen stiffness (SS) is more physiological than measuring liver stiffness (LS). In our study (2) etiology of cirrhosis was predominately alcohol (44%) and cryptogenic (26%), while it was hepatitis C (100%) in the study by Colechia et al. (3).
