a thermospheric circulation model in meridian plane (TCMMP) isintroduced and a case study on the variations in night sidethermosphere caused by energy deposition in auroral oval during asingle magnetic substorm is expounded. Calculations show that TCMMPcan correctly reflect the ther- mospheric thermal status andcirculation patterns during storm time and the results are inagreement with previous theoretical and observational ones.
