Duality of boiling systems and uncertainty phenomena

摘要

Interactions among dry patches at high heat flux are theoreticallyanalyzed. The high heat flux boiling experiments on metal plate wallwith different materials and thickness are correspondingly conducted.The duality of boiling system, i.e. hydrodynamic performance andself-organized perfor- mance is identified. A unified explanation ofhydrodynamic models and dry patches models is given. The scatter anduncertainty in boiling data can be mainly attributed to the intrinsicduality, but not the Sole surface effects.
