摘要

1.The presence of a nonlinear relation between the ultimate pressure and width of the lower surface of the plate under identical experimental conditions, which is determined by the coefficient of reduced width of the lower surface of the footing (2), was established experimentally.2.The ultimate load on a sand base of not below average density for a square lower surface is 20–30 more than that of a strip, provided that the width of the lower surface is constant and is determined by the coefficient of the shape of the lower surface (3).3.For a fixed angle of slope of the load and depth of the lower surface of the footing there exists a proportional relation between the angle of internal friction of the soil and the relative bearing capacity of the base, by which is meant the ratio of the vertical component of the ultimate inclined load (Φδ⩾0) to the vertical ultimate load (Φδ=0) and which is determined by the coefficient of influence of the slope of the load (4).4.The ultimate load depends nonlinearly on the depth of the footing, which is determined by coefficients (4) and (5) of
