摘要

1.Since an analytical search for a dangerous sliding surface is quite laborious and at the given time is not warranted even in the simplest cases, when determining the minimum slope stability factor it is necessary to use a simple systematized run-through of the possible variants of this surface.2.The proposed computer program and example presented can be used for calculating the stability factor of plane homogeneous slopes of dams, dumps, railroad beds, constructionpits, embankments, trenches and cuts, and quarry flanks.3.With further development the proposed analytic-computer method of estimating the stability of rectilinear earth slopes in homogeneous soil can be used also for calculating curvilinear slopes in inhomogeneous soil.
