New numerical analysis method in computational mechanics: composite element method

摘要

a new type of FEM, called CEM (composite element method), isproposed to solve the static and dynamic problems of engineeringstructures with high accuracy and efficiency. The core of this methodis to define two sets of coordinate systems for DOF's descriptionafter discretizing the structure, i.e. the nodal coordinate systemU_fem (ξ) for employing the conventional FEM, an the fieldcoordinate system U_ct(ξ) for utilizing classical theory.
