Problem Orientation and Allocation Strategies for Prehistoric Cultural Resources on the New Mexico National Forests

Guidelines for allocating prehistoric cultural resource properties in the Southwest are formulated and then tested on site data from two New Mexico National Forests. The allocation model is tied to a set of research questions reported in the introductory chapters. The volume reports the results of a special conference held at Ruidoso, New Mexico during which federal and academic archeologists worked together on the development of the allocation scheme.
