Demonstration of pseudo-ductility in quasi-isotropic laminates comprising thin-ply UD carbon/epoxy hybrid sub-laminates

Tensile response of QI hybrid laminates were studied. It was confirmed that the ply fragmentation mechanism can be transferred to multi-directional laminates. Notch-insensitivity was demonstrated by locally active ply fragmentation.
