PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire improving steering stability performance and irregular wear resistance performance. SOLUTION: A tire fundamental model is prepared at a step 10 and an input is effected at a step 102. In this case, an objective function is calculated at a step 104. A design variable forms the tread shape of a block and a change amount in the direction of decrease of the objective function is predicted. Variation of a shape is effected and an input is effected again on a model using a novel shape to obtain distribution of a ground touch pressure at steps 106, 108, and 102. This work is repeated at a step 110 until the optimum value of the objective function is given. Based on an obtained optimum design variable, a tire is designed, a vulcanizing mold for the tire is designed, and the tire is manufactured at steps 112 and 114.
