PURPOSE: A peptide specifically phosphorylated by protein kinase C-delta is provided. The activity of protein kinase C-delta is measured by using the peptide to diagnose disease associated with cell growth and cell death. CONSTITUTION: The peptide specifically phosphorylated by protein kinase C-delta has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, wherein in the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, the 5th amino acid is threonine or alanine, and the 6th amino acid is serine or alanine; and the peptide is selected from peptides having the amino acid sequences of SEQ ID NO:2 to SEQ ID NO:5. The method for measuring the enzyme activity of protein kinase C-delta comprises reacting the peptide specifically phosphorylated by protein kinase C-delta with a sample, and analyzing the phosphorylation of the peptide.
