"METHODS FOR REDUCING NICOTINE AMOUNT ON A TOBACCO PLANT AND CURED TOBACCO LEAVES, TSNA QUANTITY ON CURED TOBACCO, TOTAL CUTTING EFFECT REDUCTION OF TOXIC EFFECTS TOBACCO TO THE TOXIC EFFECTS OF TSNA, TREATMENT OF A TOBACCO PLANT, TOBACCO PRODUCTS, TOBACCO PLANT AND USES OF AN AUXINE, AN AUXINE ANALOGUE OR A JASMONATE ANTOGONIST ". Aspects of the present invention relate to tobacco having reduced nicotine and nitrosamines, which is used to manufacture consumer tobacco products, and methods of producing such tobacco. More specifically, embodiments include methods of reducing nicotine and nitrosamine in tobacco crops by auxin application, auxin analogs and jasmonate antagonists during cultivation of such tobacco crops. Tobacco generated using these methods and the consumer tobacco products obtained therefrom are also modalities.
