METHOD OF NOVOCAIN THERAPY IN CASES OF MAMMALIAN GLAND AFFLICTIONS IN CARNIVORES

FIELD: veterinary. SUBSTANCE: invention basically relates to treating mammalian gland inflammation (mastitis) in cats and dogs. Treatment consists in performing novocain therapy by way of blocking nerves innervating mammalian gland. For that purpose, needle is introduced between the third and forth lumbar vertebras nearer to the end of the third vertebra at the distance 2.5-4 cm from median line of animal body at angle 25-35 deg. to median plane. Needle is deepened to 2-3 cm, after which its angle of inclination is increased to 40-50 deg. Needle is then pushed forward to stop against vertebra, drawn back by 2-3 mm, and novocain solution is injected.
