摘要

Generally, the discontinuously reinforced metal matrix composites are often subjected to the hot plastic forming, during which the reinforcements can be misaligned away from the loading direction and rotated besides the whiskers are broken. In many studies, the temperature plays the most important role in determining hot compressive behaviour of composites [1-3]. However, few researches have been carried out on the effect of temperature on the hot compressive behaviour of the metal matrix composite with misaligned whiskers. In the present work, the effects of the temperature on the misaligned whisker rotation and breakage behaviours and the composite hot compressive behaviour are studied.
