摘要

Self Directed Inquiry - Socio Scientific, Guided Inquiry, and Structured Inquiry are inquiry level strategies to improve critical thinking skills. The three strategies implemented in the learning of biological subjects in virus, bacteria and fungi material were then evaluated and compared. The purpose of this study is to compare the three levels of strategies suggested in improving critical thinking. The population in this study were X first grade students of SMA Negeri 5 Malang while the sample was class Bl which was taught with Self Directed Inquiry-Socio Scientific, C1 which was taught with guided inquiry and D1 which was taught with Structured Inquiry. The critical thinking test used as a measurement tool in this study refers to the results of integration indicators between WGCTA, Ennis, California, and Cornell. The results of this study indicate the difference between the level of inquiry and improvement in critical thinking skills with a p-value (0.000) < α (0.05).
