The purpose of this research is to analyze college students' errors in solving geometry word problem based on Newman stage. This research is qualitative descriptive. This research is held in Matemathics Department, FMIPA, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) and the subjects are college students in 6~(th) semester who are doing teaching internship. This research is qualitative descriptive. All of these students are given geometry word problem. This research result shows that there are three students that encounter errors in solving geometry word problem. These three students encounter errors on transformation stage, process skills, and encoding. Students errors in solving geometry word problem are caused by students inability to choose solving method toward the problem.
