Xi'an ground fissure is a typical geo-hazard with nearly half a century history, which have been caused serious damages to ro ads, bu ilding and other civil facilities. Based on t he theory of d eformation d e-correlation of t he activ e gro und fissures, t his manuscript main ly in vestigated th e positioning m ethod o f activ e ground f issures b y analyzin g th e pseudo-coherence map of adaptively filtered differential interferogram. We took two ERS1 SAR data during 1992-1993 as an ex ample to inv estigate th e activ e fissu res position during th is p eriod. Con sequently, h igh con sistency b etween newly detected fissures and the ground fissure map from engineering geological investigation can be achieved.
