摘要

An improved gene identification technique and its application to genes encoding novel enzymes from Antarctic marine bacteria are reported. The technique uses PCR with Consensus-Degenerate Hybrid Oligonucleotide Primers (CODEHOP) and an improved genome walking method based on cassette-ligation. The developed technique was used to obtain complete sequences for 3 subtilases (P4, P6 and P7), a xylanase and a lipase.
