International Collaboration Agreement with the Korean Society of Agricultural Engineers

The Japanese Society of Irrigation Drainage and Reclamation Engineering (JSIDRE) and the Korean Society of Agricultural Engineers (KSAE) signed the Agreement for International Collaboration of Agricultural Engineers on January 29, 1997. For the signing Dr. S. D. Suh, President of KSAE, and Prof, S. H. Lee, Chung Buk National University, Korea, visited Japan. From JSIDRE, Dr. T. Hasegawa, President, Mr. S. Taniyana, Vice President, Dr. S. Shiraishi, the managing director, and three other members participated in the signing ceremony. Major collaborative activities in the agreement are as follows: 1) Exchange of scientific and technical information as documented in the publications of both societies. 2) Exchange of members to promote transfer ofknowledge and experience on a research and educational basis. 3) Joint organization of symposia, seminars, workshops and lecture programs so far as it is of mutual interest. 4) Joint participation in areas of research which are mutual interest.
